Using Podcast in English language class
Listening to podcast is one of my favorite ways to learn the language. When I go jogging, I prefer listening to podcast to listening to music. I usually pay more attention to what is said on the podcast so I forget about how tired I am jogging. As the result, I could jog more distance.
However, podcast is not just good for distracting my jogging but it is also one great way to learn the language. So I think I can try using it in my classroom as well.
Let's try this podcast:
https://www.eslpod.com/website/flash_player.php?issue_id=15491396
This cast is about "Learning to Act".
Note: Thai students at this age are so interested in reality competition show like "The Voice", "The Stars", and "Thailand's Got Talent". So vocabularies from this dialogue will definitely catch their interest and be useful.
My students' level: Grade 10-12 (Thailand)
English Skill: lower intermediate
Activities to apply with this podcast are:
1. Listen and fill in the blank
2. List the vocabulary and useful phrases and match with the meaning
3. Role-play activity

Hawaii here I am
I am soooooo thankful for this great opportunity that Brunei Darussalam government has given me. I spent 7 amazing weeks in the university of Brunei Darussalam learning about language teaching methodologies as well as immersed myself in the culture. And now Hawaii! Here I am learning and blending in!

One tip of the day:
You want to go to the beach but worried about leaving your stuff alone, try this - if you have your empty sun screen bottle, cut it in half and you can store your things like cash or car keys inside. No one is going to steal your sunscreen, aren't they?
